Diana relocated from the Kansas City, MO area in June of 2021 to join Calo as a therapist for the Teen Girls program.
Her work background began with the Missouri Division of Youth Services, where she worked several years as a Youth Specialist and then promoted to Group Leader. She later went on to work in residential treatment for adolescents struggling with substance abuse. After earning her Masters Degree in school counseling, she worked as a high school counselor for three years, while simultaneously earning the credentials needed for professional licensure in counseling. During this time she also completed a post-graduate certificate in Play Therapy, earning the Registered Play Therapist designation through the Association of Play Therapy. After leaving the school counseling field, she completed the Missouri Bar’s requirements for civil and domestic mediation and served as a contractor for local courts, acting as mediator for family / child custody disputes. She also joined and provided contracted mediation services for disputed Special Education Plans between families and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She then opened her private practice in 2010, which provided a comprehensive blend of services for individuals and families, professional consultation, licensure supervision, and mediation; up until joining with Calo in 2021.
She enjoys photography, editing, researching, creative arts, and utilizing play and humor as often as possible.
