David Garro, LPC

Morgan S

Dave chose the field of counseling and therapy after retiring from a career in state government with the Missouri Department of Revenue. Dave had always wanted to work with children and adolescents but never had the opportunity while raising his family along with his wife, Lisa in rural central Missouri. Dave did not pursue his undergraduate degree until later in life (Major in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Columbia College). Dave went on to obtain his master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University (St. Louis, MO) and when this was completed, he retired from state government and pursued his dream. Since 2017, Dave has worked with high-risk youth ages 12-21 with his main emphasis being male youth that have suffered complex trauma and helping them deal with the trauma to move forward in life. Dave joined Calo in early 2021 and has been blown away at the camaraderie and teamwork present from the moment he walked through the door. Dave is passionate about his work, clients, and families involved and really enjoys seeing the growth for his clients and family as they go through the therapeutic process.
