Claudette is motivated to passionately serve the children and families at CALO as a Family Liaison since August 2021. She migrated to United States after graduating from the University of the West Indies undergrad with a certificate in Computer studies. She began her career in the hotel industry in Missouri but did not find it rewarding. In actual fact, helping individuals find stability, with the goal of promoting self-sufficiency and happiness was her mission. Claudette believed that studying and acquiring significant knowledge with experiences is the best route to effectively help individuals, families and children with various challenges. Claudette acquired an associate of Arts in Social Works with honors from StateFair Community College in 2015. With her caring and empathetic nature to serve others, she studied nursing for a while while working in healthcare. She holds a Missouri Nurse Assistant certification, Mental health Technician Certification, medication administration Certification following a Missouri Phlebotomist license. These allows her to serve significant roles in healthcare. While serving in the medical field, she double majored at Central Methodist University and earned herself a Bachelors in Science of Psychology and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Sociology in 2017. Claudette knows that the reward from dedicating her life’s mission to working with mental health clients, childhood trauma, nursing, youth homelessness and supporting families are immeasurable.
